Annual Tbilisi Open Air festival took place in the capital of Georgia from June 23 to 25. The lineup for this year’s event featured international and Georgian artists. Among them was Rejjie Snow, an Irish artist who is widely recognized in the modern hip-hop scene.
Just a few hours before his performance, “Billboard Georgia” conducted an interview with Rejjie Snow. It was an interesting conversation between artists, because the interviewer from “Billboard Georgia” was DEENA (Elene Gigani), a representative of the new generation of the Georgian music scene.
During the interview, Rejjie Snow shared some stories and details that define his music career, creative process and his perspective on music. One of the questions posed by “Billboard Georgia” was about his collaboration with Madonna, when the pop star invited Rejjie Snow to open her show.
“I was just a regular guy, so when Madonna emailed me, I said yes. But I was not ready, I had no experience“ – said Rejjie Snow. „That was a bad experience because I wasn’t prepared, but a good [experience] because it gave me more confidence“ – he added.
