HANA is a seven-member girl group formed through the audition program No No Girls. The group is produced by Chanmina, a rapper/singer widely popular among young women in their teens and twenties.
Their debut single, “ROSE” released in April, made a sensational entry at No.1 on the Billboard JAPAN Hot 100. Remarkably, it became the first debut song by a girl group to top the chart solely through a digital release.
HANA blends J-pop with hip-hop and R&B influences, presenting a cool, edgy image that sets them apart from more traditionally “cute” girl groups in Japan. With music and performances that highlight each member’s individuality, they are attracting a new and diverse fan base.
