RHYDER (real name: Nguyễn Quang Anh, b. 2001, Thanh Hóa) is shaping a new lane in Vietnamese music, where rap, R&B, pop and introspection collide . A former winner of The Voice Kids Vietnam 2013, RHYDER spent years honing his craft, mastering jazz percussion, vocals and songwriting before reintroducing himself to the public with a bold, evolved sound.
His breakthrough came on Rap Việt Season 3, where he impressed with a balance of technical skill and narrative lyricism, earning a Top 9 finish and positioning himself as more than a rapper—an emotional storyteller with a sonic vision. RHYDER’s self-reflective, genre-blending style has since taken shape through a string of standout releases that straddle pop balladry and melodic rap.
In 2024, RHYDER earned critical and commercial acclaim with two major hits: “Sau Cơn Mưa” (After the Rain) (with COOLKID), which landed in the Top 10 Local Songs of the Year, and “Chịu Cách Mình Nói Thua” (Give in) (with COOLKID & BAN), which climbed to the Top 5 – both recognized by The Official Vietnam Chart by IFPI. Other releases like “Dân Chơi Sao Phải Khóc” (Players Ain’t Cry) and “Anh Biết Rồi” (I Knew) expanded his creative palette, exploring trap, pop/rock and emotional storytelling with growing audience resonance.
Following his runner-up finish on Anh Trai ‘Say Hi’ in 2024, RHYDER is now gearing up for his debut album, slated for late 2025. The popular music reality show, known for spotlighting emerging male talents with a unique artistic voice, gave RHYDER a national platform to showcase his raw emotion and genre-defying style. His performances quickly won over fans and judges alike, establishing him as a standout figure among the new wave of Vietnamese musicians. The upcoming record promises to trace his artistic journey across multiple genres while retaining his unmistakable emotional core. With versatility, poetic sensibility, and an ever-sharpening sound, RHYDER is redefining what it means to be a Gen Z artist in Vietnam’s evolving music scene.
